BURNLEY BORROWDALE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

CONSTITUTION

01. NAME:-
The Club shall be named Borrowdale United Football Club and shall be affiliated to The Lancashire County Football Association.

02. OBJECT:-
The Clubs object is to provide association football for its members and such social and recreational pursuits as may be deemed desirable by the committee. We will encourage our members in their sporting fair play and education.

03. OFFICERS:-
The officers shall consist of the committee all of whom shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.

04. COMMITTEE:-
The Club shall be controlled by a General Committee consisting of the following officers and any other members who shall be elected at the A.G.M.

• Chair

• Vice Chair

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Membership Co – Ordinator

• Child Protection Officer

• Development Officer

• Publicity Officer

• Fund Raiser

• Any other relevant position

The General Committee will meet at regular intervals and the proceedings recorded in a minute book. At meetings of the General Committee 5 shall form a quorum.

05. POWERS OF COMMITTEES:-
the property and / or assets of the Club shall be vested in the General Committee. The General Committee shall have power to suspend, expel or take such other action as deemed appropriate against any member deemed guilty of conduct prejudicial to the good name of the club.

06. MEMBERSHIP:-
The Club shall consist of the Officers and the Members. Membership of the Club shall be open, and not restricted on the grounds of sex, race, or political, religious or other opinions to any person who is prepared to accept and support the objectives of the Club. In accepting membership, a person agrees to abide by the constitution of the club which includes a Code of Conduct and the rulings of the Executive Committee.
The Club and its Members will be covered by Public Liability Insurance

07. MEMBERSHIP FEES / SUBSCRIPTIONS:-
Annual Membership Fees / Weekly Training and Match Subscriptions will be set annually and agreed by the Executive / Management Committee at the Annual General Meeting.

08. REGISTRATION:-
All league and competition players MUST be registered with the club.
Junior Members must provide two passport size photographs together with proof or their Identity and date of birth, e.g. Copy of Birth Certificate / Medical Card. Only players registered will be allowed to play League and Competition Football.

09. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:-
The Annual General Meeting shall be held in the month of June each year.
The Financial Statement and Chairman’s Report shall be received by the meeting and Officers will be elected and transact any other business.

10. FINANCE:-
The Club is a “Non profit making organisation”. All Club monies collected will be banked in an account held in the name of the Club. The Club Treasurer will be responsible for the finances of the Club. The financial year of the Club shall end on June 30th each year. Official receipts for all monies received shall be signed by the Chairman and Treasurer. All Cheques shall be signed by the Chairman or Vice Chairman and the Treasurer. (2 Signatures)

11. CHILD PROTECTION:-
The designated Child Protection Officer at the Club is:- Amanda Waterworth. The Club has adopted The F.A. Child Protection Policy.

12. CODE OF CONDUCT:-
Every person connected with the club whether player, parent / guardian / carer, officials or spectators is expected to observe the code of conduct which is considered to be part of these rules. Any Breach of the Code of Conduct will be dealt with by the committee. Each person connected with the club shall be required to sign a form agreeing to comply with the Code of Conduct.
