Burnley Borrowdale United Football Club had 2 games last weekend their Senior Men’s side in action against 2nd place Hurst Green, in a game full of good football the Burnley side were on top throughout the first half, both sides came out for the second with all guns blazing 2 good goals saw a 1-1 score line with 1 minute to go a moments lapse of concentration saw Hurst Green grab all 3pts. This was a good pointer as to how far this team have come on this season, promoted last year and the aim was to stay up the first season, they now find themselves mid-table.
We at Borrowdale United are trying to get an Under 9’s team up and running for next season. Borrowdale United are a well established football club in Burnley offering football opportunities for boys, girls, men and ladies of all ages. The ultimate aim is to put together a team that will win, lose and enjoy football together. All our coaches are suitably qualified and Crb checked etc etc. We also have links into local professional Football clubs so we regularly have scouts coming to watch our games.

Borrowdale United are looking adults to help expansion, Chairman Mr Ken Inckle say’s, “We are looking for the right people Men & Women to come in and move this Club on, whether it be coaches or on the admin side, we will provide all the training that is needed.”
